Pressing pause, for now...
Our sincere thanks for the incredible support from our guests, tour operators and travel agents and suppliers...
With the current COVID-19 pandemic wreaking havoc across the world and South Africa preparing for a national 21-day lockdown, African Trilogy will be closing all of its lodges and its offices from midnight on Thursday 26 March 2020, re-opening on Friday 17 April 2020.
These are challenging times for all of us here in Hoedspruit and the Greater Kruger region, and for the tourism industry here in South Africa and across the world. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the incredible support our guests, tour operators and travel agents and suppliers have given us and the host of good wishes received from across the board as we ready ourselves for lockdown.
Tourism is a team sport, and our team, from our amazing staff at our lodges to our managers and reservations people in our office, has been absolutely fantastic in making sure our guests have been taken care of during this most difficult of times. We’ve been working overtime to ensure that everyone – guest and staff members alike – returns safely to their homes, battling a tourism landscape that has changed drastically each and every single day. But we’ve managed it, and said farewell to our last guests – at eKhaya Bush Villa – on Tuesday morning, 24 March.
Rest assured that we are just pressing pause, for now at least, and that all of our lodges will be here when this terrible period is over, and will be ready and waiting to receive guests once more and give them the holiday of a lifetime here in the Greater Kruger region at either Nyala Safari Lodge, Nyala Sands or eKhaya Bush Villa and down on the Western Cape at Fin Whale Beach House.
We’ll be keeping everyone updated on our social media pages and via our regular blogs, letting you all know how things are going and what’s happening in this amazing part of the world. The spirit of Africa is strong, and our community is even stronger, and we’ll be waiting to welcome you to stay with us as soon as we are able to!
In the meantime, please stay safe, stay strong, and stay at home!
